Chris Murphy B.Ec (Hons) (Sydney), M.Ec (ANU)
Principal

Chris Murphy Chris (phone: +61 2 6248 1160) is the founder of Econtech and the Principal of KPMG Econtech. He worked as an economic modeller at the Australian Treasury, developed the Murphy Model (MM) at the ANU, and its successor, MM2, at Econtech. MM2 is used for national, industry, state and demographic forecasting. More recently, he constructed the MM600+ model, which is used to analyse the effects of economic changes, including tax reform, on individual industries and the national economy. He has also constructed models of Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and Oman for the governments of those jurisdictions.

Jodie Patron B.Sc B.Ec (ANU)
Associate Director (microeconomics)

Jodie Patron Jodie (phone: +61 2 6248 1344) has been with (KPMG) Econtech for 12 years. She leads KPMG Econtech's industry and tax team. Jodie developed the Econtech NTS Savings Calculator, which was used to estimate the impact of the New Tax System on individual businesses and government agencies. She also has extensive experience modelling the Australian Government's job network. 

Dr Sang-Hee Han M.Ec PhD (Sydney), MPA (Seoul)
Senior Manager

Sang-Hee Han Sang-Hee (phone: +61 2 9295 3860) is KPMG Econtech's modelling advisor, and specialises in econometric and computable general equilibrium (CGE) modelling. Prior to joining KPMG Econtech, Sang-Hee worked in the Fiscal Strategy Branch of the New South Wales Treasury as a principal economist. He has extensive experience in developing CGE models, and using them in a wide range of policy areas including tax, wages and emissions trading.

Emily Brown B.Comm (Hons) (Deakin)

Emily Brown Emily (on maternity leave) has been with (KPMG) Econtech for seven years and was previously at the Australian Bureau of Statistics. At KPMG Econtech, she undertakes consultancies on regulatory policy.

David The B.Comm B.Sc B.Ec M.Comm (Macquarie)
Senior Manager

David The David (phone: +61 2 6248 1312) holds degrees in Economics, Actuarial Studies and Computing. Prior to joining Econtech, he worked on forecasting housing activity at the Australian Treasury, and examined social policy and labour market issues for the Department of Finance. At KPMG Econtech, he produces construction forecasts for the Construction Forecasting Council and labour market forecasts.

Dinar Prihardini B.ACTS B.Ec (Hons) (ANU)
Manager

Dinar Prihardini Dinar (phone: +61 2 6248 1373) holds an Actuarial Studies degree and a First Class Honours degree with the University Medal in Economics from the Australian National University. At KPMG Econtech she uses our economic models to generate detailed forecasts for the Australian economy and develops forecasting models for other countries. She also specialises in the defence industries.

Steven Casey Steven (phone: +61 2 6248 1392) holds a First Class Honours degree in Commerce (Economics). Prior to joining KPMG Econtech, he worked in the Australian Government Finance portfolio, initially as a financial and policy analyst in the department and then as an advisor to the Minister, the Hon. Mr Lindsay Tanner, MP. At KPMG Econtech, Steven's work focuses on government budgets and social policy.

Kelly Neill Kelly (phone: +61 2 6248 1225) holds a bachelor in Asian Studies and a First Class Honours degree in Economics from the ANU. At KPMG Econtech she applies her research skills to a wide range of projects, and specialises in tax and industry policy.

Darren Wheatley Darren (phone: +61 2 6248 1372) has a degree in Commerce and an Economics Honours degree from the ANU. At KPMG Econtech, he models the economic impacts of major projects, and the alcohol market. Darren also works on the Growth Grid, a twice yearly book containing detailed industry forecasts.

Larissa Wood Larissa holds Economics and Commerce degrees from the University of Queensland. At KPMG Econtech she undertakes quantitative economic analysis in the areas of market research and demand forecasting, financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis.
